The young women’s Manifesto Project officially ran from January – June 2014, however we want to make sure the Young Women Speak Out Manifesto that was produced is still supported and promoted so that we can push for change for young women.
So make sure that you…
- Read the Young Women’s Manifesto and see who has supported the demands
- Access information about European Parliament and understand why you should get involved voting, campaigning and debating the elections of May 22nd this year.
- Read the blog written by young women to see what issues affect them day to day and what solutions they propose.
- Check out and RSVP for upcoming events where you’ll get a chance to directly speak to the people that will represent you at European Parliament.
Young women (16-25) across the UK have written a manifesto that we submitted to candidates for the European Parliament elections taking place in the UK on May 22nd 2014.
The six point manifesto demanded change on the issues that young women feel most affect their lives today.
Through focus groups, forum discussions, blogs, social media and more we have heard from you about the things that bother you most and what changes need to happen to make your lives better.
Our events in London have explored and continue to explore the role of European Parliament in young people’s lives and the issues that most need to change. See the Young Women’s project events page to view information on our past events and explore new events we are hosting or attending here.
Support us and demand that democracy includes young women, for you are important and you should count.
This project has been funded by the Directorate General for Communication -of the European Parliament- thus we aim to make real, dynamic, lasting change.
